MRI update; Need for Emergency Room expansion growing
Categories: Updates
Another week, another layer of concrete in the room where the MRI unit will be located. If you remember last week’s post, the floor space where the top layer is still shiny was just dirt. Power and data lines will run through the boxes the workers are standing in; connecting the MRI to the equipment room.

Outside the Richards Building, the exterior subcontractors are preparing concrete pads needed to hold the MRI’s supplementary cooling system.

In a development related to this project, our Emergency Department Nursing Director is seeking an interim solution to the increasing traffic. We’re talking with our Construction Manager about opening up a space that is currently vacant sooner rather than later to help accommodate Emergency Room patients and visitors.
